The power of music

In my opinion music is one of the most powerful forces. Its capacity to unite people is simply amazing. One of the things I’ll never grow tired of when playing music on stage is the sheer positive energy of people experiencing music together as one - some of the best felt memories I have – playing a good old song live together in the band, recreating the same atmosphere, feeling the same emotions this song might have produced already 30, 40, 50 years ago, maybe even bringing some of the „good stuff“ back that seems to have somehow been lost in time (like melodies, guitar solos, maybe even some of the better values,..😊).

Good music can do all of these and so many more things in a most beautiful and enjoyable matter.

Not even to mention writing your own original music, definitely a subject for another post.

In my novel Das Bikini Girl about a girl who lost her memories, music, at times, helps her to forget her fears and sorrows. She closes her eyes and it seems as if the music travels right to her soul and takes her to a familiar, a perfect place, where no memories are needed and where - in a strange but wonderful way – also nothing else matters – at least for as long as the song lasts...
